Located in Bern Township, Berks County, PA “EDI” is an addiction recovery transition housing facility for persons in early recovery.
They are admitted via incarceration, rehab or from domestic situation.
The 24,000 sq. ft. facility was built by the leadership of the Berks County recovery community and private / public sector financing.
The original first phase was built in 2000 and contains living quarters for 20 co-ed residents in private rooms, residential lounges, meeting rooms, administrative offices, a 6,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose auditorium with seating for 500 and a commercial grade kitchen.
The building sits on 6 acres of county leased land with room for two wings of residential expansion.
